It is very important to let children know that there is no wrong or right way of doing their work, as long as it is done correctly. They also need to know that their methods are their own. Children needs reassurance. When A childs' work is not done to one's full potential, it is not my strategy to make them feel like less of a child. It is however, my strategy to work with that child until he/she understands WHY the work was not done correctly, and then let him/her correct the work themself. This in my opinion, lets a child know that we believe in him/her. That is the most important lesson a child can learn. That they are their own person and that they all have the potential to achieve the goals set for them.

I am a graduate of Marywood University and I have my masters degree in teaching, along with my certifications in elementary education, middle school math, and reading specialist. I will also be certified in early childhood in December, 2010. This past year I was the middle school math and language arts teacher for Fell Charter School. Two years prior, I was the title I math teacher for Pocono Mountain Charter School. At Fell Charter School, I have tutored elementary and middle school students in math and reading.
