Friendly tutor (2 yrs experience in IT industry)

I had two years of experience at IT industry. Prior to that i have a great knowledge in mathematics.i did work as an assitant for my inter level math tutor. I am more interested in teaching maths rather any other subjects. I am good all over my acedamics and scored 99 percent in my 10th grade. A Little Bit About Me...

Physical science and math are often the most difficult subjects for students, but I believe anyone can understand the "basic idea." The difficulty comes from attempting to connect their intuitive understanding with the symbols on the paper. Many students think of these subjects as the memorization of formulas. But if they grasp the "basic idea," they can adapt and apply it to any problems they face. Instead of developing a toolbox of formulas, my goal as a teacher is to help the student develop a toolbox of problem-solving strategies. I learn where a student has strengths and exploit these strengths as a pathway to connecting the tangible and abstract, the "basic idea" and the mathematical symbols.

I can usually find a way to relate the material that the student is struggling with to something else that they understand. When they can make connections to more familiar things, then they can think themselves through problems more effectively. I usually achieve this by showing them how to do a problem, doing a problem or two with them, and then having them do problems on their own, only assisting when they need it.
I have always picked things up quickly, more quickly than my peers. My peers have often come to me to ask for my help in those areas. I also see how to apply what I have learned to original problems because I see connections and hold a deeper understanding of the material.
