My style involves asking key/critical/opened-ended questions to guide the tutee towards ways of improving his or her writing skills, grammar, and arguments/critical thinking content so that (s)he can write at his or her optimal level.
I intensively studied English Literature at the University of California, Berkeley (whose Literature Program is rated 2nd in the U.S., only behind Yale) and graduated with honors, summa cum laude in 2003. A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent graduate at the University of Missouri with degrees in International Studies and Spanish, I have obtained the indispensable ability to speak Spanish fluently. In addition to this skill, I have a TEFL certificate, which has involved me going to an adult literacy center for English, where I teach my own native language. I have experience in tutoring children in Spanish, and tutored a young girl, Kristine, in Spanish as a beginning speaker. Tutoring someone in Spanish is not only very fun but also more accessible. Because I have already learned Spanish as an English speaker, I know how to teach someone in a similar position.

I am quite fond of children and their amazing desire and ability to learn. I think that education is one of the most important aspect of a child's upbringing and any contribution that I can make would be very gratifying. I think children differ in their learning styles and I am flexible to work with children who are visual learners through diagrams, colors and charts, or with children who are learn through memorization and application. I use a mixture of both techniques in my own learning style and I have a wealth of experience and advice that I am more than willing to give.
