Science is a topic that I have always been interested in. I earned a bachelor degree in chemistry, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. I went back and obtained my education license to teach science, where my real passion lies. I have taught many high school sciences for the past couple of years.

I graduated with 2 bachelor of Science degrees, Biology and Chemistry. I have also completed Mathematics as a minor. I have tutored when I was in College for about 3 years. I was also a peer advisor creating and presenting academic programs to first year students helping them choose a major and plan their four-year schedule. As an aerospace engineering student at Embry-Riddle, mathematics comes quite easily to me. I enjoy solving and creating mathematical problems. At Embry-Riddle I quickly became known as the "go to" guy for all math related questions. Within the first two weeks of the first semester I was leading a Calculus 2 study group and retained my position as such until the end of the semester. While the study group dwindled in size for Calculus 3 I did still lead the group.

I enjoy a variety of teaching settings. Whether it's a large lecture hall or one-on-one tutoring, I find the challenge of finding the best, most effective instructional methods to be very rewarding. In general, I believe that promoting critical and creative thinking through hands on, problem-based learning is a strategy that leads to student success.

I believe that teaching is not knowing the answers, but understanding how to get to the answers. I am a very organized and patient tutor and have great respect for my students.
