Degree - Bachelor of Science - Year 1987 - Major - Psychology, Elementary Education - with a Minor in Child Development. Issued By - The College of The Ozarks - Work Study Program - Point Lookout, MO. My certification is currently expired in my Elementary Education, but I do hold certification as a Substitute Teacher in the State of MO. I homeschooled two children from preschool through 12th grade graduation and completion of high school. I have worked for two school districts for the past 6 years and currently work as a Behavior Interventionist in the Recovery Room for the Fort Osage School District. I have always loved teaching and working with students. My mother is a teacher of almost 30 years, so I have the importance of education ingrained in me. I do believe that every student can learn, some are just a little harder to reach than others. I am trained in a variety of teaching techniques and pride myself on being able to work through the strategies with students to find one that will work. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught English to ESL foreign language students using my guitar. I also let my students play my guitar and sing along. It was the only way I discovered, which would keep their attention so they would remain seated.
I taught college students computer science and applications courses at Sanford Brown College and National College. I taught 7th grade English as a second language for the Kansas City School District. I was also a substitute teacher.
