A Little Bit About Me...

I generally give an assessment to find out about individual student needs. When working with younger students, I usually plan a series of activities, and learning games to help reinforce learning. I feel that it is important to develop goals, and would work with classroom teachers, if possible, to find out more about each student. I am able to tutor math, reading, writing, and other subjects. I enjoy helping students, taking time to develop a good working relationship, in which students feel comfortable. yet challenged.
I worked as a teacher's assistant for several years in public schools in Illinois, assisting in K-5 classrooms. I earned my degrees in education from Ball State University. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement, M.A.E. degree, and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education with minors in the following: Learning Disabilities, Mildly Mentally Handicapped, Seriously Emotionally Handicapped.
