I graduated high school in 2008. I then attended West Ga Tech., for over a year. I majored in technical communications and took numerous computer classes. I love computers and Math. Those are my two favorite subjects but I am pretty well rounded, there's not much I can't do. I'm very self motivated and enjoy helping people better themselves. Assessment of teaching effectiveness The two words that best describe my teaching style are adaptive and creative. During class time, I expose students to various stimuli that allow them to drive their own learning. I use the following: • Show media & movie clips (To aid visual learners). • Written homework assignments (To inspire reading/writing oriented learners). • Music to help students understand abstract concepts (This approach benefits auditory learners). • Lecture using a Socratic method for all students. Hands on, creative, tailored to each students learning capabilities
I have been a tutor Since about the age of 13. Mathematics and science have been the areas with the most experience. In high school and through to college, I was a part of organizations such as Mu Alpha theta, Top 10 Percent, Fun Lab Inc etc... that were centered around giving kids opportunities to be more involved with STEM and tutored them in those various subjects. During the summers of 2015 and 2016, I taught elementary kids Math, Language, Reading, and Engineering.
