I believe in a combination of classic and Modern Music I feel that the classics provide the basics and the structure that one needs to learn properly, I feel the modern Music helps with retaining students and creates a sense accomplishment by being able to play music that they hear on a regular bases. I also promote creativity and try to challenge the students to seek out improvements in what they are learning . I graduated recently in Elementary education, so I have a broad knowledge in all subject areas. I got in the top 15th percentile on the Praxis content knowledge test. I am well-trained in different teaching techniques as well as Elementary content because I have substituted in classes from special education, to kindergarten, to sixth grade in small group and whole class. I have also tutored students in a college Biology class, one-on-one, and tutored friends when they needed it. I have also taught piano lessons for two years to various students.
I firmly believe that every child is capable of learning hard concepts, they just have to be taught in a way that is applicable to them. A Little Bit About Me...

I earned my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics. I was a substitute teacher for three years. I recently earned nine credit hours of additional education in order to renew my teaching license with the State of Ohio. Currently a stay-at-home mother, I give piano lessons to students at various levels of ability. I took piano lessons for eight years and am considered to be an advanced player.
I love the experience of teaching children and seeing the light in their eyes when they understand what they are learning. I believe each child learns in their own way and in their own time.
