My comments on tutoring Desktop Publishing : I have designed my own postcards, business cards, flyers, brochures and many other desktop publishing projects. Kind and patient tutor for math, science & computing.

Although not degreed in math, science or computers, they were my favorite subjects. More importantly, I am gifted in communicating concepts into terms my students understand and grasp. Repetition doesn't equate to learning, it's a component, it's a way to practice, but it is not how the mind grasps the concept. After graduating from DePauw University, my first teaching experience was at Rose Elementary Open School, which is a Detroit Public School. I was a building substitute. I worked there for one year until I found a regular postion at a public school academy in Inkster, MI. I was moved around in the system because they hired too many teachers. I found my permenant teaching position at Aisha Shule, an African-centered public school academy, where I have been teaching for at least six years now.
