As a tutor, I find that it is important to present the material to the students in a way that they can relate to. My job as an educator is to teach them how to learn it and make them want to learn it. I personally do not believe that negative reinforcement is beneficial. Positive responses to students are extremely valuable, even if they may occasionally give the wrong answer. This will give them the motivation to do well. My philosophy is that teaching is part knowledge, part communication, and part intuition. My intuition is necessary to understand where a student is getting stuck. I am 31, a Nashville native and recently married. In 2001, I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Social Work. In 2008, I earned a Master of Divinity by studying theology and translating ancient Greek and Hebrew. This required writing many research papers. Last year I lived in Turkey, located north of Egypt. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated with a bachelor of arts degree and had the opportunity to work with young children while employed at my university's child development center.
