I have wanted to be a teacher all my life. I love working with children and teaching. I believe that children are the future and should be given the opportunity to do well and succeed in school. I like to do my best to teach students how to do something and then let them discover and practice how to do it for themselves on their own. A Little Bit About Me...

If I had to pick one style it would be direct teaching. Although being a special education teacher I also use the cognitive strategy instruction. This approach is very helpful as a tool to help students develop the necessary skills to be self-regulated learners. One should continually differentiate the lesson utilizing all the modalities. When I facilitate interaction between the class it will depend on the lesson sometimes having the whole class participate is the way to go, other times it is helpful to employ small groups. I believe you have to be versatile yet consistent I feel this is important for the learning styles of the students.
