At our first session, I ask that each student complete a short quiz to determine their learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc). Every child learns differently and I believe that discovering what works best for each student is the first step towards success. Once we figure out what his/her learning style is, I cater to this. If they learn best by reading, I'll prepare worksheets based on what they're learning; if they're hands-on learners, I'll make an activity.

My love for teaching goes as far back as my high school years. Specifically, in 2004, when I graduated from high school, I decided to take a gap year before enrolling in college. During that time, I worked as a teacher’s assistant in a first grade class. That experience was both enjoyable and humbling for me because aside from performing my assigned duties to enhance teaching and learning, I served as a mentor to the young children.
