I received high scores on the PSAT and ACT while in high school. I can provide proof of these if necessary. I received a 31 on the ACT (I would need to verify this, but I believe it is correct). I can teach students how to prepare for any test, including the ACT, GMAT, and SAT. I graduated from BYU Idaho in the top 5% of my class. I taught an intro class for incoming freshmen for 1 credit hour. I taught a LEED test prep class with 100% pass rate for all attendees. I believe in the Socratic Method. Through this tutoring method, the student is asked questions to help them develop understanding on their own. Through this discovery style, the students actually learn in ways that will be remembered most. I believe that any child, teenager, or adult can learn most effectively through their own discovery, with my help and guidance. I believe in having "ah-ha!" moments, and the feeling of relief and excitement when connections are made, and learning happens. That's what I want for my students.
My degree consists of two areas of emphases: English and the Humanities, with a minor in Dance. I recently earned my bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I was in advanced math classes and have studied up through Calculus, testing out of an Algebra II class. I excell at spelling, and earned a ribbon in a spelling bee in elementary. I was also in AP and Honors English classes and wrote a paper that impressed my college teacher so much he wished to used it as an example for future classes. I have also taken classes for 5 years of ballet, 4 of tap dance, 2 of jazz dance, 4 of choir, and 1 year of harp. I also completed a year and a half of college Latin.
