Although I have only been teaching in a classroom setting for the last two semesters, I have spent a great deal of time teaching friends and fellow students over the years. I am very patient and able to adapt to the student with whom I am working. I am a firm believer that learning, and learning math especially, is not a spectator sport and that a great deal of practice is required to fully understand most material. I do my best to provide a helping hand with that practice.
Throughout high school and college, I performed at an academic level well above average. As a result, I often found myself helping my fellow students. As part of my graduate assistantship at Missouri State, I work in the math tutoring lab several hours a week, tutoring (primarily) algebra and calculus students. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with children as well as young adults. I like to ask questions and provide direction to answers that will help students solve problems on their own. Giving students the ability to discover amswers is a great way to empower them for future problem solving. I also believe that the words we use and the tone of voice used by a teacher can have a powerful effect on the students desire to learn. Respect the student an their needs and they will respect what you are trying to accomplish in their lives.
I have a passion to inspire students to reach their goals and develop to the higest level they can. I believe in the power of determination, and reaching for the best. Many students just need support and information to obtain the level of perfrmance they long to reach.
