I have two masters degrees. I have taught music. My employment involves being the IT manager for an automobile dealership. I have dealt with just about every type of PC Problem, hardware, software, e-mail, website security, etc. I also do the bookkeeping for the enterprise. I have my own income tax service. Also, I fix PCs. As far as the creative side, I attend a writers group in which we do creative writing. I have been to over 10 colleges and pretty much understand pedagogy. Pedagogy is how they teach and how you learn. The more advanced the courses you take the less they help or guide you. You're on your own. They hand you a syllabus, and say go figure it out. Learning is Always New

I've taught creative writing to Japanese university students in English only (songs, stories and poetry) for two years, and ESL to all ages in Japanese society for 22 years. In America, I taught freshman public speaking, composition, and literature at the university level. My students have gone on to top-level universities, and placed first in prefectural level speech competitions.

Poetry is one of my top subjects!

Learning needs to be enjoyable. When students enjoy what they are learning, that means that they are engaged in what they are learning. When students are engaged, they can better grasp the concepts being taught. I make sure to get to know my student's interests so that I can relate what they are learning to situations that happen in their own lives.
I have an Associates in Arts and Teaching degree from Leeward Community College on O'ahu. Expereinced SAT / ACT/ GRE tutor with perfect scores

Flexible - it depends on the student's needs and preference. One size fits all teaching is poor teaching.
My tutoring experience has mainly focused on SAT / ACT prep and ESL (TOEFL). I have also been a high school / middle school teacher in social studies / history / humanities for the past 4 years. The best successes come after their greatest disappointments

I like to make my tutoring sessions productive by encouraging students to work hard to complete the taste in order to receive a reward in the form of a game or something they enjoy doing. I love working with children and adults!

I have experience in being a student in both business, math, science and language arts. I hired tutors for my children and I tutored my children but I have not begun to tudor myself. A Little Bit About Me...

Basic piano geared towards student interest level. Many of my students have quit piano from other teachers because they were bored or forced to play the same classical song for 4 months until it was perfect. I engage the student.
