I have worked with Middle School age youth for almost a decade. I am Site Coordinator at an after school program & run a science focused club there. I also occasionally help the students who have been removed from our Homework Room with a number of subjects. I enjoy imparting my knowledge to my students via a variety of hands on learning activities and have always been a keen math, science and language arts student myself. Throughout school, I also played every woodwind instrument except the Oboe. While in college, I took every Agricultural Education class offered, as it is my intended area of post graduate study, and gained a grasp of educational psychology, classroom management and lesson planning. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the State University of New York at SUNY New Paltz and I have matriculated into the Master of Arts in Biology program at the same university. As a result of my many research and laboratory reports I have excellent writing and typing skills and have completed many writing assignments including numerous essays in various fields as a requirement of completing my Bachelor of Science degree. Because I have coursework at the graduate level in the field of biology, I have taught at the college level and will continue to do so next semester, so I have roughly 1 year of experience teaching students.
