A Little Bit About Me...

Working as a Spanish Interpreter, I work with pre-school aged children. I work with them during their therapy time, especially in Speech Therapy. I enjoy being able to help these young students overcome many obstacles that they are facing. I am very patient with them and considerate of their different needs. I want to be able to help students of other languages feel secure and comfortable with themselves when they get out in the real world. I hope to make a difference in all of their lives.
I am currently working as a Spanish Interpreter at Friendship Community Care in Russellville, Arkansas, and I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish at Arkansas Tech University, which has enabled me to increase my knowledge of the Spanish language. I received a BA in History from the University of Arkansas in 1991. My cumulative GPA at the U of A was 3.96. I was in the Honors Program and graduated Summa cum Laude. I also received several other academic awards from the History Department and the University. I have worked in the Commercial Construction industry for the past seventeen years. For the past five years I have been deeply involved in employee training.
