I try to adapt my teaching style to the student. I keep trying different methods until we find what works best. This is probably why many of my students have told me that I am great at explaining things so they understand it. Being proficient at math is similar to being proficient at playing a musical instrument. You can’t learn to play an instrument by going to concerts and watching other people perform. Similarly, you can’t learn math by watching the teacher solve problems. I try to guide students to the correct solution and give immediate feedback while they work.

Though applicable to any subject, for science and math I adhere to the inquiry method. I'm believe in the teacher finding something interesting in what is being taught, asking leading questions with which the students answer, and having the students learn through their answers.
