A Little Bit About Me...

I've experienced continued success with my teaching strategies which I have to vary hourly due to the diversity of the student population I work with. I am happy to offer individual training or will work with a group as large as 20.
I hold a current certification in Business Education, grades 6-12. I work in a high school alternative setting, my students may be diploma bound or they make be working toward taking the GED. I have been teaching Professional Development classes at McNeese State University for the past 11 years. My teaching style is one that I obtained from two of my favorite college teachers whom I wished all others would duplicate themselves after. When I teach, I introduce myself and let others introduce themselves. I project an image of someone who is willing and able to assist and teach...someone who really does care (of which I have been told many times by former students). I let students know that if they have a question about anything, to please ask me. I am a detailed person and so I like to give detailed steps in achieving a desired outcome.
