Exercise your mind! Read, Write and Rule!

I am very creative by nature and a visual learner. I come with the ability to draw and teach through out of the box tangible ways as well as use traditional methods. I am patient but have high expectations for every student I encounter and push them to succeed. I can empathize with students having difficulty in school but never let them settle for less. As a graduate of a 'Public Ivy' institution, I have had a very well-rounded and intensive education. I earned two degrees from IU: a BA in Spanish and a BS in Biology and Chemistry. My experience involves subjects such as: Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry (General and Organic), Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Physics. I have had many students that were of the middle school, high school, and college levels. I also have some experience tutoring elementary-aged children. In all, I have between two and three years of experience.
While I enjoy working with a younger population, I have had more experience with middle school, high school, and college students. I truly enjoy working with children! It gives me great worth and value in enriching the lives of the children I come in contact with. Building the self esteem in children, and developing rapport with my students has proven to give me an upper hand in achieving growth in the academic areas I tutor. I firmly believe in meeting the child where they are at and growing from there. I also believe in making learning fun! The tutoring experience should NOT be one of drudgery!
