Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. A positive, fun, learning experience = student success!

Have been in the education feild for nine yrs. Spent most of those years in special education. A Little Bit About Me...

During college, I worked as a home-school Spanish, Language Arts and History teacher for students ages seven through fourteen. I volunteered in classrooms, tutored, and provided childcare for children with special needs. I studied Spanish and abroad. Upon graduation, I began my teaching career in L.A. where I taught kindergarten. After three years, I decided to teach abroad and moved to a small Chinese city where I taught preschool. Back in the U.S., I taught an intervention class for struggling readers in the second and third grades. I also tutored for students after school in their homes. Currently, I am a second grade teacher at La Joya Elementary School in Salinas, CA. I also taught kindergarten at the school for two years.
