A Little Bit About Me...

Prior to pursuing my teaching degree, I operated an in-home daycare center for ten years for ages 6 mos. and up. SES tutor since October of 2011- Provided SES tutoring for elementary aged students in Reading, Comprehension and Language. Tutor for high school aged students. Currently, providing tutoring as an independent tutor primarily to elementary and middle school aged children in a variety of subjects.
One on one tutoring style--I provide one on one tutoring sessions that include the use of a variety of instructional strategies including worksheets, workbooks, sight words, vocabulary, Venn diagrams and charts, flash cards, compositions and educational websites. Very straight to the point type person, if your son or daughters are struggling in a subject let me be the one to guide them, I love many subject and also very good in them. I also love to have that one in one experience with tutoring because most students need that and become more successful so I think I be best for them.

Coming from a family of educators, I knew from an early age that I would become a teacher myself; therefore, all the steps taken to prepare for my professional life have been to enable me to be the best teacher I can be. I received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of South Alabama. I received classroom teaching experience at a local middle school and as a university instructor. I currently have an extremely rewarding position with the Mobile Housing Board developing, coordinating, and instructing GED preparation classes. With this program I teach GED concepts and both group and individually tutor numerous students. I take pride in the fact that 100% of the students I referred to the official GED test obtained their GED. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate of the University of South Alabama, College of Education. I returned to school to earn a teaching certificate in elementary education so that I might expand my career in environmental science as an educator. I have completed two semesters of student teaching, one semester in classroom observation/aide, and one semester as a reading tutor. In addition to these degree requirements, I have been an activity presenter at the Baldwin County Water Festival for the past four years. I volunteer to assist with children’s art activities at the Eastern Shore Art Center in Fairhope. A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children and helping them succeed. I enjoy getting to know the child as an individual in order to form a relationship with them that will allow me to identify their learning style and interests. I am very patient, kind, intelligent and loving and I have high expectations for my students.
With a degree in elementary education, I have been successful teaching and tutoring young children.
