A HAPPY ENERGETIC MOTIVATED COLLEGE TUTOR FOR ALL STUDENTS!!

My teaching and tutoring experience is not perfect however, i have taught middle school math and chemistry when i was volunteering in the local library for "Homework Help" program. I can not say about my teaching style because i do not own one. Instead of having my strict teaching style, i tune my speaking and personal teaching style for the student. Every single student has different personality and ability to embrace so i happliy respect my students and do my best to help out them. I am a sophomore at UC Davis and majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I am very energetic highly motivated to teach and help students. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate student transitioning from physics to astrophysics, my goal being a PhD in Astrophysics. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Physics with a minor in astronomy. Because of the nature of physics, I have been exposed to many types of science and mathematics. I am also experienced with professional writing as required for producing lab reports and research papers, some of which were followed by presentation talks. Most recently I have been working as a physics instructor for The Princeton Review.
My philosophy of teaching is to train the student to think like a scientist and/or mathematician. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Duke University in 2009 with a triple-major in Biomedical Engineering, Economics, and Mathematics. I have tutored in Economics and spent four years mentoring middle-schools students in Engineering as a Techtronics Fellow.
I have never been someone who "just gets it" when it comes to math or science, and so I understand more than many people who pursued degrees in these subjects just how puzzling they can be. Math seems like it is filled with "tricks" that seem impossible to know unless you were born with some innate gift. When I teach, I seek to show, step-by-step. how to think about a problem as more than a set of symbols on paper. I seek to impart the critical thinking skills that reveal why those tricks aren't tricks at all, but are instead a natural part of the grammar of math and science.
