I have been in the field of education for approximately 14 years of which the last 8 years have been special education. I have never been someone who "just gets it" when it comes to math or science, and so I understand more than many people who pursued degrees in these subjects just how puzzling they can be. During my years at UC Davis I achieved a high level of excellence inside and outside the classroom, majoring in Economics with a minor in Communication as well as earning All-America Honors in Intercollegiate Golf. I began at Davis majoring in Physics, which led me to take many advanced level math and science courses, eventually settling on Economics, with which I became a master of statistics and through analytical papers developed excellent writing and grammar skills as well.
