I use a teaching paradigm that stresses the importance of student's needs and learning styles. Every student brings unique skills and perspectives to the classroom and tutor session, and because of this I have found that my teaching strategy changes per student and per teaching situation. For some students, being taught using the socratic method works well, while others like to take notes, absorb the material, then ask questions later during office hours. I like to teach my students giving them real examples of the topic viewed in class that day. I give them all the tools and information needed and then try to ask questions in regard to the topic and create a more interactive environment where they can feel free to ask and participate. Some times I bring them up front to resolve mathematical problems or just for their seats to come up with the answer. Then I assigned a homework.I like to alternate giving individual and other time group homework, this last one more complex.
