My comments on tutoring SAT - Verbal : I tutor all sections of the SAT test.

I am patient and supportive, but persistent. Each student's mind works differently, and I work tirelessly to find the best way to present material to every child or adult. I have a varied background, not just in the academic world, and I feel I can find the right way to relate to each individual. I am a fan of Howard Gardner- I believe each student has his/her own learning style. Knowing these learning styles can help both teacher and student accomplish academic success. As an undergraduate, my focus for studies in English were both Critical Literary Analysis and Creative Writing. Analytical writing was stressed heavily, giving me the ability to interpret a text based on intrinsic value. The creative tract allowed me to experiment with my own abilities while keeping in mind strategies implemented by others I have read and studied.
