Calculus I is one of my top subjects!

I have been doing Physics for 7 years, and can't think of anything I would rather be doing! Science is so cool to me, especially seeing all the strange ways the world does things when you know how it works. I have worked on numerous teaching in science colloquium, made laser light shows for kids to talk about lasers, and developed specialized science intro courses for college freshmen at wvu.
I like to stay relaxed and have fun, telling a few jokes along the way. It's hard to learn things if you're not interested, and even more so if you're struggling with it! I push students a bit once I'm sure they understand something, and I always try to get them to be at their very best.

My comments on tutoring Calculus I : I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Statistics and have experience teaching undergraduates and graduates.

My diverse skills and experience in mathematics, statistics, and computer programming should be advantageous in this circumstance. I always do my best to be kind and understanding to every student I have. I know that everyone has different learning speeds and different proficiencies, so I always try to be accommodating of that. I also try to present material in different ways if the student doesn't understand it the first time.
