Grammar is one of my top subjects!

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. My major was English Literature, with a double minor in French Language and Communications. I am also a certified composition peer tutor, assisting students in Composition I, Composition II, and graduate level papers. I have also written procedural instructions for positions. I have worked in the automotive and mortgage industries.
My teaching style is very holistic. I want to empower students to discover and employ their voices. I want to develop critical thinking skills, analysis, synthesis, and retention, basically, I want to help people *THINK* about what they are saying, what they are doing, to interpret the world around them. In the end, it is the student's choice whether or not they modify their papers. I believe in having a one on one discussion. I am resourceful. My comments on tutoring Grammar : Rec'd "A"

My method of tutoring is to work with students where they are and add to their skills, to accomplish the final outcome, preferably an "A" or "B." Some students are visual learners and some are informational learners, or some students combine the two. The potential I see in students is what I try to bring out and have them realize they are capable of going a step further, to reach their goal. The importance of education and the students' continuance of same cannot be stressed enough.
I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's.
