My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : Will work with your child as young as 5 years old.

I have been tutoring independently since 2009 but have always liked helping others learn. I am good with math and numbers. In college, I strived to do my very best. Like many others I had to write papers on different topics and grammar and comprehension plays a big part in writing a good paper. My teaching and classroom management style is very authoritative. I like to set clear and concise classroom rules and expectations. Teachers should take time to set rules in a visible place for students, review them daily, and have consequences when the rules are not followed. However, students will be acknowledged for doing the right thing through classroom recognition or a prize. Students should have a set routine each day. This will allow them to know and understand what to expect with the classroom. If the routine has to be changed, this is explained ahead of time and students are guided into the transition.
