A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and kids. I always separate the behavior from the child. The little kids that I tutor at the Boys and Girls Club love me! I am just really good at what I do. When I was teaching, I had a stellar reputation with my students and the community. When students would come back to me from college, they would tell me how easy their college English courses were after having me in class. It was an experience I will always treasure and never forget.
I have a master's degree in English plus 21 hours. I taught high school English for 21 years. I now teach online and tutor at the Boys and Girls Club. I studied post secondary in high school and graduated in the top ten of my class. I was on the deans list every year of my college career. I was a teachers aid at the University of Minnesota for three years in the anatomy department. I was a the lead embalmer for the University and worked for the Anatomy bequest program. I was licensed in mortuary science in 2007 and have been working as a funeral director and Retail manager for the past three years.
I believe that the purpose of tutoring is to help students help themselves, or to assist or guide them to the point at which they become an independent learner.
