A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching. I always get well prepared before I sit down with someone. A couple of hours of preparation beforehand can make the difference between a tedious, unproductive experience and one that encourages the student and makes the excited about learning. I try to help with sticking points and not to lecture. I have discovered that people tend to remember answer to their questions and if I try to explain a deeper meaning it will only bore them and make them less interested.
At the University of Illinois at Chicago I earned a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering and worked as a teaching assistant for three sememsters of graduate school. As a graduate of the University of Rochester, I have obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. Aside from this, I also have a minor in Economics, as well as a concentration in English. Throughout this coursework I have written numerous research papers and essays, and as a result I believe I have very strong written, grammatical, and reading comprehension skills.
