I enjoy being able to work with children and being able to positively impact their lives whether that be through empowering them to succeed or teaching new skills. Throughout my graduate studies I worked as a substitute teacher from grades pre-k-12; however I especially enjoyed working with younger children as it allows for more creativity and thinking outside of the box. My teaching style varies based on the age of the student. I like to be a little more animated with my k-6 graders. On the other hand, with my 7-12 graders I focus more so on making a connection with the material--showing them how it relates to them.
