My name is Jim, and I'm excited to have the opportunity to be your or your child's tutor.I am a junior at Georgia Tech now. I have a double major of mechanical and computer science. My GPA is 3.7, and I got a full score of math in all my ACT tests. Also, I am top 25% students in my major. Since 2012, I have taught TOEFL, SAT, ACT and Chinese to students at test-prep and language. I am now doing co-op program in washington, GA.

My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : can tutor with some review of the subject.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in History. I have 7 years experience as an Engineer. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a mathematics teacher for more than 15 years in the high school setting. I have taught in New York and in South Carolina. My teaching style is simply getting students connected to the content. I prefer to connect with individual students in order to determine how they learn best. During my time at Hampden-Sydney College, I was a math tutor, computer science tutor,and a physics tutor. I started tutoring my junior year of college where I just tutor math and computer science. I mostly help students with Calc I and Calc for Econ problems. In my senior year, I continued to tutor math, but I tutored stats instead of calculus. I also tutored physics.
I first start by explaining the material the way that I understand it. I also show examples to show how the problems are solved. If it doesn't seem to be taking then I start to break the problems down into simple steps and explain each step until the student understands. I also try to relate the material to them so they can relate to the material on a more personal level so that the information will stick with them better.
