While I have worked with a range of different students in many different subject areas, I have discovered a great love for the over-all tutoring experience. I began as a volunteer helping first graders learn to read and now I work daily with undergrad and graduate level college students, helping them with research papers, critical essays and thesis work. I love teaching, but I especially love one on one tutoring. Students I have tutored typically have a much better understanding of the subject they are studying. I approach tutoring as a facilitator of learning, rather than a professor of knowledge. Learning by discovery is a key aspect of my tutoring. As a Notre Dame graduate, I have always valued education. Having graduated with two degrees in computer science and psychology, I entered the workforce immediately following college and recently took a leave of absence to spend some time with my children.
