I have been a Junior High Math teacher for more than 20 years.I also have taught returning Empire State College students in Basic Math and electronics. In my last position, I created "Striving for Excellance in Math". It was a combination of daily and weekly drills and activities. I currently am working for EVI. They score all of the NYS Assessment exams. I therefore know what is required to exceed the standards required by NYS. I have also taught Math9,Course 1,and Math A. A Little Bit About Me...

I really would like to help make a difference in someone's life and help them understand academics just like myself. When I try to teach someone, I always explain to them the subject as basic and simple as possible. I give a few examples, and then help them figure it out themselves. When/ if they struggle, I will be there to help set them back on track.
I am finishing up my Bachelors degree in Dietetics at SUNY Oneonta- I will be graduated in December. I have been offered positions as a chemistry tutor but denied because of my other jobs. I was a student mentor for a year in high school to students that were "slacking" or wasn't understanding one or more of their classes.
