My comments on tutoring Special Education : I have been a cross categorical classroom teacher for six years. I have experience with a variety of disabilities including Autism, ADHD, speech/language delay, cognitive delay, social/emotional disabilities, etc.

My last semester at FSU I internship with 1st grade students. I assisted students with areas they were struggled in and encouraged them to push themselves. I tutored several students in reading and writing skills. I also helped prepared students for their weekly math tests. By the end of the semester I took over teaching the class. Some classes in my major required me to do projects with children. As a volunteer, I participated this past year at camp Woe-Be-Gone. This is a one day camp that works with about 120 children, helping them learn at the museum of science and industry while understanding and coping with the illness or loss of loved one. A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored students of all ages and abilities in math and economics for six years. I have learned that teaching quite often involves more than helping students learn the topics listed on their syllabus. A Little Bit About Me...

I was a teacher for a year in the 2007-2008 school year. I taught grades 3-5 and most of my students were labeled with Specific Learning Disabilities. For the past two years I have worked as a Speech and Language therapist between two special centers for students with Emotional Behavior Disorders. While providing therapy I would work on Reading, Language and Grammar skills. I also have experience tutoring for the past year.
