A Little Bit About Me...

I use a lot of repetition and the asking of questions to ensure that students are learning concepts. I also try to give them analogies to help them remember things. I love working with children, as the oldest in a big family, I have often served as caretaker while my father is at work. I currently have an 8 year old younger brother who I'm working with as well as one in his Sophomore year of High school. I'm helping him with algebra and pre-calc.

My approach to tutoring is to first make the student feel comfortable and to realize that they are not "stupid" or inferior because they need help. Then I find out specifically where they are having difficulties and concentrate on that area. If they still are having difficulties in that area, I will move on to the next topic so that they don't get frustrated.
