The main focus for my tutors was making sure they completed their homework and also, based off any information the parents give me about certain areas of study they would like their child working on; I would have all my tutors read at least 2 books to me aloud before ending our session.

My teaching style varies from student to student. I like to get to know the student in order to maximize their understanding of the subject. Everybody does learn differently, so I am open to change for that said student.
To be honest I do not really have any experience of being a tutor. I am a senior at Reagan High school and for the most part I tutor other classmates and family members. Mostly recently I broaden my range to elementary to high school. I do very well in mathematics except for geometry, Pre-cal, abd calculus because i am not registered for those classes. Learning Math can be FUN!

With over 35 years experience teaching math, I have successfully taught students from third grade through college calculus. I enjoy math, and my students are able to understand it in a one-to-one teaching environment. My tutoring strategies: -throughout my experiences, I realized that each person is different and require different teaching methods depending on the individual's preference -I prefer to use study skills that will benefit the individual; I have a variety of strategies depending on the subject as well. some individuals learn well using flashcards, while others prefer repetitive writing for memorization - I have had a couple of ADHD clients that prefer learning games and activities because it helps them stay active, but focused at the same time

Algebra I is one of my top subjects!

I have worked in the school system for 14 years. I have been a Teacher, Teacher Assistant, Substitute Teacher, a Lead Teacher in a Child Care Center, and a Director of a Center. I have worked with all ages. I have worked with babies all the way through high school. I have worked with general education and special education. I am pretty easy going when it comes to not knowing, but I do not play when it comes to school. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. If you don't use it then you will lose.
