Since every student learns differently, I spend time getting to know their style and have found success in the past using several examples of problems, asking leading questions, and being prepared to answer any question or go over a topic in more detail. When it comes down to it, I emphasize that a tutoring session is not for me to become a better tutor, but the style and material of the session should be chosen by the student. This means that I come with a variety of options and am prepared to switch the plan as soon as asked. I consider teaching as the most noble work a person can do. Both my parents are teachers since 1970s and I carried that gene. In my opinion, teaching is a partnership between the instructor and the student. Feeding the curiosity of the students can help them get passionate about the subject and try to find answers. Such style helped me explain hard subjects such as cryptography to non-computer students. Moreover, technology can enhance the learning experience by providing intuitive tools such as social networking to better the communication between students and instructors. A successful instructor is the one who is ready to be the student of his students.

A Little Bit About Me...

While attending Florida A&M University I always had a passion for Mathematics, therefore my first year I took Honors Calculus I and received a grade of a 'B'. From that point I completed my Bachelor degree in Computer Information Systems and took my passion in math and began to work on my MEd in Secondary education. During that time I had the opportunity to substitute students in 6-12 grade in two different counties. I also completed my student teaching experience at Shiloh High School in Snellville, GA where I taught 9th-11th Algebra I & II and Geometry.
