Helping Dispel the Fear of Math

I use a variety of methods such as graphically (visual), practice examples (tactile, repetition), repeating the rules/methods (aural) and occasional humor to help things stick!
I recently moved here from California. I have tutored fellow students in high school in Rhode Island, a child, grandchildren, and also tutored folks in California ranging in age from 13-30 in all types of math during the last ten years. Earlier on in my college education, my plan was to apply to Law School at MU, the university I was attending at that time. To apply, one was to have a Bachelor's degree in the area of their choice.
