My comments on tutoring Testing Skills : I am NYS certified in Literacy (grades 5-12) and English (grades 7-12), although I have several years of experience with children as young as Kindergarten.

Holding active NYS certifications in both English and Literacy has had a tremendous impact on the way I teach. I find myself much better able to engage struggling students. Quite often, particularly when it comes to reading, it is the lack of basic comprehension skills that prevent students from being able to fully engage with a text and to perform critical thinking tasks. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a teacher for nearly 14 years. I have enjoyed elementary school. The children like the way I teach them all their subjects that are needed. Many times I have taken students who have problems with various subjects and them have elevated themselves for a better understanding of the subject they had trouble with. I became a certified CRLA tutor and started tutoring my sophomore year of college; I've been tutoring ever since. I tutor chemistry, biology, math (beginner algebra, statistics, calculus I and II), and calculus based physics.
