Every student is unique and has different ways of doing things. In a swimming pool, you can see physical improvements in technique which ultimately improves performance. In teaching, it is different. It is sometimes very difficult to see the "light bulb" go on when a student finally grasps a new concept. I take different approaches in different situation to help students achieve results.
I have a degree in elem. education and taught 4 years of 6th grade math and social studies in a catholic middle school. I have a degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas and have completed the Advanced Accounting needed to qualify for the CPA Examination. When employed as a manager of a private trust company, I effectively managed $150 million of assets for client accounts. As the Manager I was very active in the design and implementation of policies and procedures, as well as training and supervising the various accounting functions. I truly enjoy teaching and working with students to help them learn. I am open to using any method or style that is effective for individual students, which is what I do as an educator. My enthusiasm for education is obvious to anyone who knows me or observes me as a teacher.
