A Little Bit About Me...

Totally student-centered. I encourage rather than demand. I believe that it is my responsibility to find the teaching method which is most effective for a student to learn. Some learn by doing, some by reading, some by a creative process. The goal is to allow the student to understand and retain the material for his or her later practical application.
I have taught undergraduate courses in Business, Business Law, Marketing, Management, Communications (including public speaking) and most other courses needed for a business degree, such as preparing a business plan or a financial budget. I was Director of the Paralegal Studies Program at Stautzenberger College (Cleveland) which educates students for postitions in the legal field and court reporting. I developed the courses and conducted seminars on federal funding, grants and contracts.

As an MBA graduate I have consistently sought to continually improve and manage as many aspects of life that are presented to me. While achieving my BA in Philosophy I stretched my focus into the areas of science and mathematics, given my strengths in those areas. My MBA in Management facilitated the integration of my math and science skills into a practical system of approach and practice. My Calculus skills come in handy while everyone else is doing summations, I find integrals much faster. I am a very easy-going funloving person. But I also expect the same respect from children and their parents as they expect from me. I try to find out what things childen are interested in, then I try to adopt the subject material and my style to use that to help them to learn. Learning should be fun, not a chore.
I worked a full-time job while also attending school full-time while earning my Degree. I am a person who values the benefits of an educaiton very much.
