A Little Bit About Me...

Physical science and math are often the most difficult subjects for students, but I believe anyone can understand the "basic idea." The difficulty comes from attempting to connect their intuitive understanding with the symbols on the paper. Many students think of these subjects as the memorization of formulas. But if they grasp the "basic idea," they can adapt and apply it to any problems they face. Instead of developing a toolbox of formulas, my goal as a teacher is to help the student develop a toolbox of problem-solving strategies. I learn where a student has strengths and exploit these strengths as a pathway to connecting the tangible and abstract, the "basic idea" and the mathematical symbols.

As the son of two educators, I truly believe that all children can learn, but each has to develop their own learning style. I love teaching and working with children and strive to help them find academic success. All children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. I am a patient and considerate individual who enjoys helping children realize educational success.
As a graduate of Lindenwood University, I have earned a degree in Information Technology. I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers and essays in many various areas of study. I have also instructed military courses for the past year ensuring proper training of America's Airmen. I am currently continuing my education at Webster University working towards a Masters of Arts in Information Technology Management.
