Identifying a person’s learning style is the key to successful comprehension of a given subject matter. My teaching style involves recognizing concepts that the person does find interesting to help them relate to and understand what they are trying to learn. I am patient and diligent, and I will help you understand and enjoy the subject.
I have led reading groups and Language Arts classes. I have taught music lessons to a variety of ages and I have taught Music Theory and History at the collegiate level. My mother has been a teacher for 35 years and I have always enjoyed helping her in the classroom. A Little Bit About Me...

Each child learns in a different way. I enjoy finding what works for each child. In the current state of education, children often find themselves burdened with an exorbitant amount of work that seems endless and impossible to conquer, and parents often find their children stressed and frustrated by a lack of comprehension. Learning should be an adventure into a previously unknown world, not a job. I strive to make that possible for each and every child.
As a fellow during my graduate work at Indiana University, I taught undergraduate courses focused on helping students improve their written and oral communication skills. I am a recent graduate with a Master of Science in Environmental Studies with a Conservation Biology concentration.
