I am passionate about chemistry and history, and I always enjoy helping students in these fields. Organic chemistry can be difficult for many students, but I believe one-on-one tutoring is a great way to help students. I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a degree in elem. education and taught 4 years of 6th grade math and social studies in a catholic middle school. I also have a two-year accounting degree and have been in sales for about 10 years and have owned my own office supply business. I also coached age-group swimming for over 10 years.
Every student is unique and has different ways of doing things. In a swimming pool, you can see physical improvements in technique which ultimately improves performance. In teaching, it is different. It is sometimes very difficult to see the "light bulb" go on when a student finally grasps a new concept. I take different approaches in different situation to help students achieve results.

I achieved an English degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where my senior thesis was selected as a finalist for the UW Creative Writing prize. I am passionate about the English language, but I think that writing is becoming a lost art. Quality writers are quality communicators. As writing in general falls into disrepair, those who can write clearly and read critically will have an edge in every institution they enter--from the University, all the way to the workplace.
