A Little Bit About Me...

I've been an artist my whole life and went to school for illustration and multimedia where I got the opportunity to learn under a Pixar story artist. My style ranges from caricatures to large scale wall murals and paintings. I'm a logo and tattoo designer as well. I also do video editing and production with a focus on preproduction and storyboarding. I love composition, pressure psychology, line psychology and color theory. I really enjoy teaching others how to draw, and believe that with practice just about anybody can create something great!

Teaching is a wonderful experience! My teaching style is laid-back, I'd say. I like having conversations in order to determine how someone learns. I think people learn best when discussing the material and really think it out before they start creating something. Guiding a student down the path of their own learning style is important because they will need those skills in the future when they go off to college or start a career on their own. While working on my Bachelors, I volunteered in eight schools working one on one with students, small groups, and classroom settings for language arts. I also student taught junior high language arts. I received numerous teacher of the week recognition when I taught after school art classes. Since graduation, I have been a substitute for all grade levels and subject matter. I received certification as a line therapist for children with autism, in which I advanced the communication skills.
