I have been an educator for almost 20 years. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher and immediately fell in love with teaching children with special needs. Desiring to continue to teach, I finished a Master's degree which gave me the endorsements to teach K-12 children with special needs. Since then, I have taught reading and mathematics to both children with special needs and regular education children at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. As I gained a greater thirst to do more to help children, outside of teaching in the public school setting, I bagan tutoring. During my time as a college student at Bowie State University, I enjoyed many of my business courses in marketing, law and information systems. I also enjoyed tutoring as a sophomore in the subjects of reading, english and math. I am currently one of the Senior Mock Interviewer at McDonough High School in Pomfret, MD. As an Interviewer for the Seniors, I review the seniors 4 year portfolio that showcases the highlights of their highschool years proceeding with interview questions as if they were actually interviewing for a prospective job. I also currently work for the federal government in the area of IT procurement. I look forward to continuing tutoring.
