Experienced Tutor with Expertise in Math and Social Science

My teaching style varies for each student, I try to tailor the work to how the student learns.
I have been tutoring students of all ages since I was in high school. I began by tutoring my own peers in math and social studies. I would also tutor children from 1st grade on up in all subjects. Once in college, I tutored college students and younger in many fields, primarily mathematics courses. My specialty quickly became preparation for standardized tests as well as calculus because I have a unique ability to discover how each student learns and tailor the lessons to their needs. I can quickly find where the knowledge gaps exist for each student and fill in those gaps, in order to create a complete understanding of the topic, not just get them to memorize answers.

I focus on the concepts of mathematics. I use graphical techniques to emphasis the concepts being taught. With these concepts in mind, physics can be a fun and interested to learn.

I have been teaching and tutoring mathematics since the age of 15. I started working at a tutoring center where the student's ages ranged from 4-15. I then moved on to college where I studied math and computer science. I was a teaching assistant for Calculus I and II. My responsibilities included leading group tutorials and working one on one in the tutoring center on campus. At graduate school I taught Calculus I, II, and III as a standalone lecturer.
