As a teacher it is important for me recognize how my students best learn and use that to present material. I also believe that students need to feel comfortable with their teachers. That is why I make an effort to get to know my students on a personal level. Knowing the things that are important to them helps to make a connection and can motivate them to learn.

After graduating with two bachelor's degrees from the University of Minnesota I began working full time as a financial analyst for Target Corporation.
